What’s Next in Tigatto?

Narra Park Residences is rising quickly, but it’s not the only noteworthy development around the Tigatto area. Here’s a quick recap of the great things our residents can look forward to in the near future:

Easy access to essentials

Upcoming infrastructure upgrades and developments promise to make living in Tigatto even more convenient.

For starters, the City Government of Davao, in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), has earmarked close to P2.8 billion to widen and construct new bypass roads in the Tigatto area. For residents of Narra Park Residences, this means smoother traffic in and around Buhangin, and quicker access to different parts of the city.

The following will be part of the ongoing and planned road work:

  • The reconstruction, concreting, and widening of the Diversion Road-Tigatto Road junction, and the construction of a Diversion Road-Communal-Cabantian-Tigatto bypass road will decongest the traffic in existing roads in these locations

  • The concreting, widening, and improvement of Buhangin-Tigatto-Mandug-Callawa-Fatima Road, and the construction of the Diversion-Tigatto-Magtuod-Tugbok bypass road will shorten travel time from the northern to the southern section of the city

The planned P12 billion Davao Tamugan Bulk Water Supply Project will add 30-50 kilometers of pipes, significantly increasing the water supply in the vicinity. When it becomes operational in 2019, it will boost Davao City Water District’s (DCWD) capacity to serve 10,000 service connections in communities along the Tigatto-Mandug Road.

Furthermore, the Philippine Women’s College (PWC) of Davao is planning to open a second campus in Mandug, bringing quality education closer to residents in the area.

Urban conveniences for better living

Two new malls are poised to open at the Cabantian-Tigatto Road junction, only a 10-minute drive from Narra Park Residences.

Gaisano Grand Mall Buhangin is nearing completion. Once it opens, families can enjoy retail stores, a supermarket, and various restaurants. It is also the first Gaisano Mall to have fully digital cinemas.

Meanwhile, construction is already underway for the new NCCC mall. According to executives of the homegrown retail company, it is investing almost P1 billion for the project, which is envisioned to be an aspirational destination.

For the new mall’s design, NCCC commissioned Architect Albert Yu’s ASYA Designs, which also designed SM Mall of Asia and the City of Dreams casino. The four-storey, 8,700-sqm mall will be home to close to 100 brands, and will also feature a supermarket, a department store, cinemas, and a roof garden, giving families convenient access to a wide variety of shopping and entertainment options.

Indeed, exciting things are happening in Tigatto, which is why now is the best time to be part of this up-and-coming neighborhood. We are currently offering prime units and lots near the swimming pool, cabaña, and large parks at Narra Park Residences, Alsons Dev’s first mid-cost community.
