Datem Homes tops off 1st building

DATEM Homes topped off the first of its seven Urban Hive Palms mid-rise condominium buildings along Bacaca Road on Thursday, January 5.

The construction of the building started six months ago. Datem Homes plans to start construction of the second building by the third quarter of the year when the turnover of the first building had commenced. And from there, it expects that the construction of the rest of the seven buildings will start one after the other.

The entire project costs P1.8 billion, according to Arnold P. de Asis, president of Datem Homes. Each building is approximately 1,500 square meters and consists of more than 100 condominium units each. The first building has six floors with a parking space on the ground floor.

De Asis said units of the first building were all sold out. Eighty percent of the units in the second building were sold out, while the third building is 50 percent sold out even if construction has yet to start.

"We have a good sales people in Davao and we really have a good project in terms of planning, finishing, execution, and of course the technology and expertise we put into the project," said de Asis, adding that their design, aggressive scheme, and the unique spider web planning is one of the things that make them distinct from other condominium companies in Davao City.

He said they pay close attention to the planning of each unit, maximizing the area. "We've been constructing mid-rise buildings and condominiums in Manila so we know what is really the best."

Urban Hive Palms integrated the development plan with the existing planted palm trees at the site. They came up with the unique spider web design to jive with the environment.

Unit prices start from P2.5 million and above, depending on the square area. The units for the first building are available at 47 square meters as the smallest and 85 square meters as the biggest. Units may have one, two or three bedrooms.

Other amenities of the Urban Hive Palms mid-rise development compound include a clubhouse, sunken garden, swimming pool, gym, and a jogging area among others. Aside from the topping-off ceremony of the first building, Datem Homes also opened its new sales office on the site compound. The said office is already operational and prospect buyers can already visit for inquiries and site visits.

Fully-furnished mock-up units will be available for viewing at the first building. De Asis said they look forward to developing economic and socialized housing in Davao for the rest of the year.

Urban Hive Palms first building topping off ceremony was led by Mr. Arnold P. de Asis, president of Datem Homes; Madeline Dizon-Marfori and Philip Dizon, representatives of the Dizon family as the Datem Homes Davao partners; and Engr. Levy V. Espiritu, President of Datem Inc.
